How to run the Office connector with "Use Invoker's Connection"

I have a requirement where I need to retrieve some events from the user´s Outlook calendar with the help of Power Automate.

This might be a simple question.

I don´t want to set up an admin account that has access to everyone's Outlook, instead I want to understand how to make the Connection Reference use the Connection of the calling user (the user who triggers the flow)?

When connecting to Dataverse we can set "Use Invoker's Connection" - but can´t find that option for Office 365 Outlook connector

Is it possible? Any workaround? Thx!

    Hello @Kranis,

what happens when you just set the „run only users“ setting to „Provided by run-only user“ for this connection reference? Isn’t that exactly what you need?

Yeah, the Office 365 Outlook connector in Power Automate does not have an option to use the invoker's connection like some other connectors. However, there is a workaround to achieve this using the Office 365 Users connector.

    Try these:

    1. Add the Office 365 Users - Get My Profile action at the start of your flow. This will get details for the user who invoked the flow.
    2. Add a Get mailbox action to retrieve the email address for the user from the profile. Store this in a variable like userEmail.
    3. When adding the Office 365 Outlook - Get events action, set the Calendar ID field to the userEmail variable.
    4. Optionally add a Send an email action using the userEmail variable as the recipient to send the events to that user.

This will allow fetching calendar events for whichever user invokes the flow by dynamically getting their email address from the profile rather than hardcoding a shared mailbox.
