My approval flow is suddenly failing. I am receiving the error code 'InvalidApprovalCreateRequestAssignedToMissing' with the error message: 'Required field 'assignedTo' is missing or empty.' My "Assigned To" field is not blank. I am using an IF statement to assign the approval.
Understood. This looks really good. But I think the issue with the expression is not an error itself but the expression is returning a blank value highlighted below. Please check the last failed and go through the steps in the expression and confirm.
You can also test this by replacing the '' highlighted below with your own email address. Save and resubmit last failed. If it goes through and you get the approval, you know that is the root cause.
In general terms, again while this looks really good, your expression in the Assigned To field should never be setup to return a blank value.
