Hi all,

 

I wonder if there is a way to download metadata regarding all tables from solution.

I need to create documentation which will store data model and data mapping.

 

I have seen that I can export each table, but this will create separate csv files for each with all data in it - this is too much.

Something like list of all tables and columns would be a good starting point.

    I am not sure if you have looked at the below tool on the Xrmtoolbox

    It has been always the tool I have used for generating documentation.

    Hi @Mira_Ghaly ,

    I am not familiar with the tool, as this is outside tool I am not able to use it, unfortunately.

    Looking for some build in option, not to list everything by hand.

    Most people that want data dictionary will generally use XrmToolBox (whilst not a MSFT product in certain places you will find it referenced in the MSFT doco also).

    I think at one point, but not sure if it is still the case, some of the SDK sample code included something to build a data model. 

    There is also a Metadata solution somewhere (but it is only really useful inside the UI not for exporting)
