Hello,

We are getting the same error, below, everyday.

It runs on a schedule and always fails with this error, but if we run it manually it always works.

Problem while executing action 'WriteCell'. Failed to write into Excel.

Microsoft.PowerPlatform.PowerAutomate.Desktop.Actions.SDK.ActionException: Failed to write into Excel. ---> System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: The object invoked has disconnected from its clients. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80010108 (RPC_E_DISCONNECTED))

Based on the screenshot you provided, it appears that the issue is occurring within the Power Automate Desktop flow itself. Could you please share a screenshot of the desktop flow, ensuring that any sensitive data is hidden? Additionally, if you could indicate where exactly the issue is happening within the flow, it would be helpful for troubleshooting. Thank you.

What exactly does your desktop flow write to Excel and where is that file stored?

Do you run your desktop flow in attended or unattended mode?

Hello Deenuji, thanks for checking this.

Follow print of the desktop flow. We added a 'kill excel' step to make sure its not opened or being used by another program, and then launch it.

Also, there are over 700 lines of flow, so its impossible to paste everything here.

Basically what happens is that we open a website, copy a phrase/status from there to the excel.

Then open another url and do the same.

We usually have somewhere between 10-30 lines of excel with information copied. It's not much, and it works when running manually from the cloud.

Can't figure out why it does not run when on a schedule.

Hello Agnius, thanks for checking this.

It copies public available info from half dozen websites, basically taking a status and pasting it to excel.

    It runs in attended mode.

This small server is connected to a monitor and it stays logged on 24/7

    @Davis_C

To be honest, the code provided doesn't offer a clear insight into the reported error. My suggestion would be to implement logging within your code. You can use the "Write text to file" action to log important events, such as successful SQL connection openings with timestamps, completion of delete row operations, and so on.

By running the bot in unattended mode and reviewing the log file after a failure, you can pinpoint where the error occurred. If the issue is associated with a specific action, consider adding error logging for that action to gather more information about the problem.
