Does Power Apps have a default gallery selected whenever you first open it?

Hi all,

I have a button that shows and disappears based on a value in a column. Whenever I start a new form, it automatically has the value of the column set to the condition that hides the button. Even though it is a brand new record. Is a gallery record already selected before I select a record?

Yes - the first item in a gallery is selected by Default when you open the gallery - if you do not want this, make the Default of the Gallery
