LDAP Queries

For an approval workflow we'd like to automate it as much as possible.  For this to happen we need a function whereby we can look-up a person by job title (so that if the position is backfilled, the approval request will still go to the correct person).  Is an LDAP query possible with Flow, or an alternative means of producing the information?

What we need to create is an approval workflow for travel requests.  The submitter's manager is the first stop.  If the request is in excess of $2500 and/or the request needs the employee's manager's manager.  The objective is a maintenance-free workflow, so the need is to send the approval request to the correct person(s) by job title.  Thus, the query for manager (and manager's manager).

    Hi @Anonymous,

Could you please show a bit more about your scenario?

Further, could you please share a bit more about LDAP query? is it the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol queries?

The LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) query is not supported in Microsoft Flow currently, if you would like this feature to be added in Microsoft Flow, please submit an idea to Flow Ideas Forum:

    Best regards,

    Kris
