Conditions not being met

Hello,

I have a flow that is connected to a SharePoint list for change requests.

I am trying to set two conditions, one if "Status is equal to Approved" and another if "Status is equal to Denied." There is also another condition "if Approver is equal to NULL."

However, the Status conditions are not being met the way they are supposed to. If a Status is Approved or Denied, it should just finish the workflow. But instead, it kicks off the approval process and asks the approver again if they would like to approve or reject the request. The other condition, Approver is equal to NULL works just fine.

I have also tried using "Status contains Approved" and "Status contains Denied" but those don't work either.

I am trying to use these conditions so that way if the flow is started and it's a request that has already been Approved or Denied, it does not kick off the approval process again.

Please let me know if there are any questions.

Thank you.

    @Anonymous

    What type of column is Status?  A choice?

    Is the Approver column a person or group column?

    If Status is a choice, see my example below:

    Hi @ScottShearer ,

    That was it. As soon as I changed to "Status Value", it began to work.

    I will keep that in mind for when next time I work with choice columns.

    Thank you for your assistance! I will mark this as resolved.
