Oracle connector issue: TNS:listener was not given the SERVICE_NAME in CONNECT_DATA

I am setting up an Oracle connector to be used in Flows. I have followed guidance on how to set up a Gateway and Oracle (https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/connecting-to-oracle-database-from-powerapps-flow-and-log...) and (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/service-gateway-onprem-manage-oracle#install...). I can successfully TELNET to the Oracle DB and upon creating the connection in my Power Platform Environment the connection to the Gateway is 'Connected' however when using the connection in a flow, when setting up the action I receive the following error:

Test connection failed. Details: Oracle: ORA-12504: TNS:listener was not given the SERVICE_NAME in CONNECT_DATA inner exception: Oracle: ORA-12504: TNS:listener was not given the SERVICE_NAME in CONNECT_DATA clientRequestId: ***************

I have been unable to resolve the issue after reinstalling Oracle client, creating gateways and troubleshooting the Oracle Client (wondering if my Power BI desktop config is interfering?)

Appreciate if anyone can help.

Are you planning to use TNSNAMES.ORA  (hint:  you should) or are you trying this with a TNS-less connection?

As per the instructions (https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/connecting-to-oracle-database-from-powerapps-flow-and-logic-apps/) I am installing Oracle Client for Microsoft Tools (64-bit Oracle Client for Microsoft Tools 19c) which creates 'Oracle\network\admin' location for using TNSNames.ora configured with the connection settings.

Have you validated the connection with tnsping or Toad or DBeaver etc?

I can Telnet successfully to the DB.

Couldnt findTNSPing. Suspected something strange, using DBeaver I am receiving following error: ORA-01017 invalid credential or not authorized; logon denied

Some strange behavior as I know the TNSNAMES setup (username and password) is correct and is being used by colleagues successfully (plus i can TELNET).

I grabbed TNSPing from another machine and ran in the bin dir. Received an error that several dll files were missing and had an incomplete installation and to retry Oracle install.  I am doing that now and will update. Cheers

If you have DBeaver then that's good enough.  Sort out the login issues.

TNSPing red herring it doesn't get included with that install. I have therefore started from scratch, reinstalled both Oracle for Windows client and the Oracle client and ensured config is correct. Then started within Power Apps to create the Oracle Connector to find that the 'server' name should be in the format SERVER:PORT/SERVICE_NAME (which is what the original error was telling me (TNS:listener was not given the SERVICE_NAME in CONNECT_DATA).

Now that is resolved I am receiving the consistent error in Power Apps, DBeaver and in connector creation within Power Automate and that is "Credentials missing or invalid".  Strange because the credentials are correct!  With that said i have now asked DBA to create a new user and we can go from there!

Thanks for you responding / help.
