Adding Link to Hub Site Navigation with HTTP/Power Automate

Hello,

I'm able to use an http step to add to the quick launch and top site bar, but I can't figure out the link to post a new navigation to the Hub Site navigation. Does anyone have the URL for the Hub Navigation REST endpoint?

/_api/web/navigation/TopNavigationBar

Nope, I made sure quote styles were correct. The cause of my original issue was I only had 1 underscore instead of 2 ahead of the "metadata" field.

Turns out my issue was related to the SharePoint site. Even though I am set as an owner over the site, once I fixed the double underscore issue the flow wouldn't error out, but eventually time out after multiple bad gateway reattempts. Once I changed the SharePoint site to another site it worked perfectly. Thank you!

It's hard to say from your screenshots, but are you mixing quote styles? Maybe re-type the quotes in manually to make sure. At a glance your API call looks correct otherwise.

I followed this exactly and wound up with the following error. Any idea what might be causing this issue?

I think it's just those two (CTRL+F5 and attempting to edit). I also assume it'll appear after a while as generally I've seen most things in SharePoint update by the 24H mark.

@ryleybauer @or you need to hit edit once.. any other workaround for that or will it appears after a certain time?

    Hi @Expiscornovus

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear as I realized I had "TopNavigationBar" in my description and "QuickLaunch" in my screenshot. I've tried "HubNav" as that's the html object name, but that didn't work either.

However,  you were correct that it's the "TopNavigationBar", I just had issues with my browser cache not showing me the changes, leading me to believe that there must have been another endpoint! Thanks for reassuring me I was going in the right direction!

Both of these were working, but I was convinced there had to be another endpoint as I was only seeing the new navigation elements in the classic settings page, leading me to believe that the "Top" bar was not the "Hub" bar.

However, clearing your cache does wonders. CTRL+F5 reload wasn't updating the Hub Nav bar, only once I cleared 24hours of browser data, it did properly load!

    Hi @ryleybauer,

In your URI use the TopNavigationBar property instead of the QuickLaunch.
