SQL Connector issue with Power Automate with fully qualified encrypted certificate

Curious if anyone has found a work around with the sql server connector with the fully qualified Domain name required on the certificate?  I've read that Power Automate does not work with it on (it just uses the IP address), but the Azure DB is on a Vendor's system.  Trying to persuade them to turn it off will be problematic at best, if not nearly impossible.

We've only tried using a service account to connect to the database at this point.  Would a Microsoft Entra ID authentication work for this scenario?  Would it be our Vendors account or ours?

Thanks for any advice.
