timeout based on business days in workflows

Hi,

I created a workflow with approvals and set the timeout for the first approval to 1 day. I was wondering if I can make that 1 day count for only business days? For example, let say an approval request goes out on a Friday. I would like the timeout to happen the following Monday and not Saturday.

If you have an example that would be very helpful!

Thanks!

    Hi @Anonymous,

You could use the dayOfWeek() function. If today is Friday, it will return 5, delay 3 days, or delay 1 day:Annotation 2019-10-04 140033.png

I have same scenario with this. After an approval is sent, it should be approved after 3 business days. If not approved afer that, approval should timeout the following day. Is that possible in the approval timeout? Im not sure if the days include the weekends as well.

I'd like the Approval to be sent on the date entered, but, the timeout days to exclude Saturday and Sunday.  The answer provided earlier required delaying the Start and Wait for Approval until Monday.

If the item is submitted Friday, and timeout is PT3D, I'd like those days to be Friday, Monday and Tuesday.
