Sharepoint Holiday List Data to 365 Calender

Hi There,

I have a sharepoint list with Staff Holiday data such as:

Staff Name
Holiday Start Date
Holiday End Date
Unique ID

I then have a flow, when a Sharepoint item is Created or Modified, pushes this to a 365 Shared Calendar event.. However my flow is looping, how do i avoid/control this?

Thanks
Craig

Can you send a screenshot of it looping?

One thing that I can see the issue being is that you have selected created or modified and every time you modify an item, it triggers the flow even though an event has already been created for that item.

If that is the case, you will need to add two segments; one to check the changes and then use a condition filter out the records for which an event has already been created.

    Like this:

This way you will be checking if a column has been modified and if it has the required data to create an event. Then you create an event. For any other changes, the flow will not create an event.

    Hope this helps.
    Cheers!

@narayan225 Thanks for the reply.. What might be triggering mine then is my sharepoint list with staff holidays is getting populated from an staff attendance/holiday platform which is sql database and operates on a different flow and runs on a recurring basis every 1hr. Which would be updating the version history of each record, making it looking like the record has been created/updated.? That could be my cause.

    Thanks

    Yes @craig_01

That could be causing the issue. If you stop the first flow, you can check if the second flow goes into loops.

    Hope this helps.
    Cheers!
