Connecting to an On-prem sharepoint

Advice needed please.  We are needing to connect to an older on-prem SharePoint site to get to some documents.  When I try to do this using our portal URL, I get an error that the URL is not found and select from drop down list.  Do I need to include this URL in our data gateway and create a new connection?  What do I need to do to gain access from Power Automate to this on-prem SharePoint farm?

Thanks for the information.

    @iskguy ,

    You can connect to an on-premises SharePoint site using Power Automate. To do this, you need to install the on-premises data gateway and then connect to it from Power Automate. Once you have connected to the gateway, you can sign in to your SharePoint site and start building workflows.

    Do you have a gateway installed?

    Yes, we do have the data gateway installed and we use it to connect to on-prem SQL server instances.  How do we use it to get to SharePoint?  When I create the step, using the connection I created with my credentials and using the data gateway, I continue to get this error message

    Note that when I do the dropdown for a URL, none are listed so I try to put this in as custom value.  Is there anything further we need to do in the data gateway?

    Did you try using the Custom option?

    Yes I did.  In doing a bit of investigation yesterday, I found that the version of SharePoint might be 2008 so that could be an issue too
