PowerApp "Outlook Get Email" show more Details

Hello,

I have created a Gallery in my PowerApp with

Spoiler (Highlight to read)
Office365Outlook.GetEmailsV3({fetchOnlyUnread:false}).value
Office365Outlook.GetEmailsV3({fetchOnlyUnread:false}).value

. I always get the sender and the subject displayed. But I would like to be redirected to the body information with a click on the respective email.

Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to do it, I don't know which database to enter.

Thanks

    Hi @BrandonK98 ,

Based on the documentation for the action you are using (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/office365/#get-emails-(v3)), a BatchResponse[GraphClientReceiveMessage] is returned which is described as: "Represents a wrapper object for batch response", and "array of GraphClientReceiveMessage" (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/office365/#batchresponse[graphclientreceivemessage]).

Looking at the same document, but what a GraphClientReceiveMessage looks like, I found a Body field in there (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/office365/#graphclientreceivemessage).

From this I conclude that the formula to use should to display the body of each email in a field in the gallery should be:

    ThisItem.body

    Hello @BCBuizer,

    thank you for your response.

    Unfortunately, I'm still stuck here.

I don't know what to do with the "BatchResponse[GraphClientReceiveMessage]".
Where should I enter it? On my second screen in a display form?

    Hi @BrandonK98 ,

Since you mentioned you have a gallery, I assumed you want to display the body inside the gallery for each returned email. In case this was correct, you should add a label inside the gallery and then use the formula I posted earlier in the for property of the label.

    Hello @BCBuizer ,

I already have a gallery displaying incoming emails. Currently, I can only view the subject, sender, and received date. However, I would like to be able to click on the subject and access additional details from the selected email, such as the body.

I read that an display form is required for this. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble establishing a connection.

Sorry if my questions seem strange; I'm completely new to the PowerApps area.

    Hi @BrandonK98 ,

Indeed if you were to use a data source, like a SharePoint list or Dataverse, you could use a form. The Office365Outlook connecter, however, is not behaving like a data source, so to get a similar experience, you'll have to build you own form.

To do so, first you  can add a label outside of the gallery and set its' Text property to:

    GalleryName.Selected.body

In this you'll have to replace "GalleryName" with the actual name of the gallery.

What this will do, is to display the body of the item which is selected in the gallery. If you want more fields to be shown, you can repeat the same steps, but then instead of body, you select the name of the field you wish to show. The names of all available fields can be found here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/office365/#graphclientreceivemessage
