Adding master image to Dataverse table

I've created a new app via Teams, so thought I would try the Dataverse table approach (previously I've used SharePoint lists). Feeling pretty dumb already!

I want to add a single "master" image for each row in my table that can be displayed in the Gallery component. I can add either an image or file column to the Dataverse table but cannot figure out how to edit the table data to add the image. I don't want the end users to add images via a form, just for me to add all the images during edit/build of the app to be displayed in the gallery. Which column type is best for this and where can I manually browse and upload the image file!

Hi @CaptainObvious ,

If you are using full Dataverse you can look at using the entityimage field on the row. Example, if you go into a model app form or view the data for the table you will see the following and you can click on the image to upload a new image:

You can then refer to this image in the canvas app similar to the following (where mine is pulling from the Contact table): SessionGallery.Selected.Speaker.'Entity Image'

Thanks for the tip, but I guess I must not have full Dataverse as I can't seem to see anything like an entityimage field to associate an image file to. I'll go back to a Sharepoint list I suppose.

Hi @CaptainObvious ,

You could use Text column in dataverse table.

Add a 'Add picture' control in the canvas app .

Add a button control and set its onselect property to:

Set(Var,JSON(UploadedImage1.Image,JSONFormat.IncludeBinaryData))

The text column will save the base64 image.
