Hi,

I get daily internet usage logs by e-mail

Please note that you have used 5.201 GB of your in-bundle data service agreement.

I can retrieve the e-mail quite easily from Outlook.

Where do I get more info on isolating the 5.201 from the mail body so I can add it to an Excel file?

I've done something similar in Node-Red for extracting data from a Tweet 🙂

Thanks

Nico

    Hi @Nicovddusse,

Can you please explain a little bit about isolating 5.201 info and adding to an excel sheet?

    Thanks

Hi, the mail body contains the daily usage. I want to log this in Excel

For this, I need to extract the usage (number 5.201) from the mail body.

How do I do this?  Just a pointer to the info would be great 🙂

    Hi @Nicovddusse,

I am not aware of Flow supports any string functions? You could add a filter in the email body contains a text you looking for and add the email body in an excel sheet. Use some excel macros to find the number you want.

Other option is you could do a custom API (Developer skills you need) to pass the input parameter as email body. Do the string manipulation in your custom code and return the value back to flow.

    Thanks

Ok.  Can't be done currently in an easy way 🙂

Would be nice to have a FUNCTION block as in Node-Red where one could write custom code 🙂

    Problem not really solved.

But for now I accept that the solution still needs to be developed and implemented 🙂
