Can't delete button input

Hi Power Automate Team -- I created a test input in my button-triggered flow. After testing I decided to not use the new input. I deleted the action that used the new input, but I still can't delete the input.

There are no other references to this input, I literally just created it, created one test action item, and deleted the action item. What's going on?

Did you delete and re-add the trigger?  Since the input is going through the trigger I expect it also has a reference to it.

Deleting the trigger isn't an option. This is on a large and complex Flow.

Unfortunately, I suspect that is your only option.  When you added the input as a parameter it was added to the trigger, since the trigger is being used to pass it into the flow.  So the only way to remove the reference to it will be to delete and re-add the trigger.  Try saving a copy of the flow, delete the trigger in that copy and see if that fixes the problem.  If it does do the same for the original. Your only other option will be to delete the flow entirely and re-build it.

Appreciate you looking at this. However this is a major bug that needs addressing.

I've been building this Flow for over 3 years. Rebuilding is not an acceptable solution.

You can try opening a support ticket, but I suspect support is going to tell you the same thing.  The only way I've ever seen to change the input parameters associated with a flow is to remove the trigger and re-add it.

I believe I've found the issue. Somehow one of the existing inputs in the Trigger got renamed to the same as the new input.

Would be helpful if the errors gave some indication of which actions were dependent on the trigger input. At any rate, thanks for commenting on my post!
