Sending reminders and receiving responses with 'Send Email with Options' feature

I have a flow that sends out an email with a few options for the user to choose from. If they don't do so immediately, I want to send them a reminder that has the same email with options (not a new email with options or a reminder with no options), so that the flow can continue running once they select an option. How can I achieve this?

I.e. I want the SelectedOption from Compose in the flow to be the same regardless of whether a user clicks on options from the original 'Send Email with Asssignee Options' or the delayed 'Send Assignee Options Email 2'

One way to achieve your goal is to use the Run After feature and set a time out for the Send an email with Options action.  So, if the first email does not get a response within a specified time a second email will be sent.  The second email will only be sent of the first one times out.  The down side is that the user will not be able to respond to the first email after it times out - only the second.

Let me know if you need an example.

@ScottShearer Thank you for this solution. Can you please provide more details on how to implement it?

    Sorry for the late reply.....

Please see my example below.  I used scopes - while this is not a requirement it does simplify everything.

Not that I have a timeout set on the first email.  I set it to 1 minute for testing.  To set it to something like 5 days, for example, you would enter P5D.

If the email action times out, then the scope will fail.

Note that I have set the run after condition for the second scope to run only if the first scope fails - otherwise it is skipped.

Next, I have a condition.  The run after setting for the condition is set so it runs if the second scope is successful or if it is skipped.

Note the use of the variable.  Both scopes use the variable to store the selected option from the email action.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
