Signing out from Power Automate Desktop - Problem

Hi,

When I sign out of Power Automate Desktop near the upper right corner by clicking My Name > Sign out, I'm able to login again later without entering my password.

That is, when I load PAD again and click Sign In > Sign In (Popup) > My Name > Continue [BUTTON], PAD logs me back in again without asking for my password.

I use a shared machine for development and I need my account to completely logged out for security reasons.

I've tried deleting cached files in AppData etc, but the only solution I've found is to change my windows account password.

Any ideas what a solution might be?

Thanks.

Please follow the below steps and see these steps resolves your issue. I have tried and its working fine for me.

✅ Step 1: Delete Cached Authentication Tokens

PAD stores authentication tokens in the msalcache.bin3 file. Deleting this file can help clear cached credentials:

    • For MSI installations: Navigate to %localappdata%\Microsoft\Power Automate Desktop\Cache\MSI.

    • For Microsoft Store installations: Navigate to %localappdata%\Microsoft\Power Automate Desktop\Cache\Store

then deleting the msalcache.bin3 file, restart PAD to apply the changes.

✅ Step 2: Remove Work or School Account Settings

PAD may retain account settings as a work or school account within Windows. To remove these settings:

    Delete the folder C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_*.

This action removes all associated settings and credentials.

✅ Step 3: Clear Windows Credential Manager Entries

PAD might store credentials in the Windows Credential Manager. To clear these entries:

    1. Open the Control Panel.

    2. Navigate to User Accounts > Credential Manager.

    3. Under Windows and web Credentials, remove any entries related to PAD or Microsoft accounts.

    Hi,

    Open Windows Credential Manager
Win + S → search for Credential Manager
    Go to "Windows Credentials"
Look for credentials under msteams_adalsso, MicrosoftOffice16, or anything with:
    MicrosoftOffice, aad, adal, MSAL
Delete any credentials related to Microsoft accounts
    Particularly:
    SSO_POP_Device
    MicrosoftOffice16_Data:SSO:xxxx
    msteams_adalsso
Anything showing AAD or your Microsoft email address
    Restart Power Automate Desktop

If I have answered your question, please mark it as the preferred solution. If you like my response, please give it a Thumbs Up.
    Regards,
    Riyaz
