Drag and drop doesn't work

Hello Community,

I'm just beginning my learning curve on power automate for desktop and curiously, my first challenge is that I can't drop any action on the flow.

I can drag actions, but when I try to drop them, the prohibition sign appears, and the action doesn't appear in the flow. Please see the attached picture.

I searched for solutions, but I couldn't find any posts with the same problem. What am I doing wrong? Or is there an option/configuration that I should enable?

hi @versor if is Power Automate desktop, please try to update your app. I'll say also try in other PC but until that try to ask if there are some blockers like DLP on your organization.

Thanks for the reply.

1) I installed power automate desktop in another PC (PC 2) without problems, works fine. Therefore, the problem is with my main PC (PC 1).
2) I reinstalled power automate desktop in PC 1 and I noticed that in the installation options, the last two options of the package don't appear, like in the following image (i.e. machine run time, edge webdriver, chromedriver):
Do you think that is the problem and how to solve it?

3) PC 1 is not under and organization is just my laptop. I don't know if that is what you meant when asking about blockers. How can I check if there are blockers generating this problem?

Updating to the latest version currently doesn't fix this. It just doesn't work in the last few versions.
The last version that I can get it to work in is 2.23.114.22217 - installed on my laptop.
Version 2.26.139.22312 on my VM does not complete any drag and drop functions in the same scripts.
What I'm looking for is a way to install the old version until this is fixed in the latest one.

@ajbpow, would you be kind to share the installer of the version 2.23.114.22217 you mentioned please? I visited many pages inside and outside MSFT but I can only get the current version.

@versor It was just the auto updater that delivered the latest version so I don't have the package and like you I haven't found anyway of getting access to older version installs

Hi @versor and @ChristianAbata has there been any update on this - my script still won't work and I can't get access to any previous installs to try and go back to a version which does work?
