Email content stopped showing on Sharepoint

Hi,

I have a flow, where I receive an email in a specific mailbox and I create a new item in Sharepoint with email content showing.

It has been working fine for the last couple of months until last week. Starting this week, I have been having a strange issue. The content sometimes shows up on Sharepoint and sometimes not. Even if it shows sometimes, it does not show if I open the same item again.

I have tried some troubleshooting steps and tried entering the link under "Custom link" option but none of it seems to work. I have also tried editing the item column setting. Am not sure what could have gone wrong if everything was working fine until last week.

Thanks for any help in advance.

    Hi Arun,

    Check these things -

    1. Verify Flow Execution: Review the run history of your flow to see if there are any errors or warnings that could provide insights into the issue. Look for any specific error messages that might indicate the cause of the problem.

    2. Check SharePoint Connection: Ensure that the connection between Power Automate and SharePoint is functioning correctly. Verify that the connection is valid, up-to-date, and has the necessary permissions to create items in the SharePoint list. Re-authenticate the connection if needed.

    3. Confirm SharePoint Column Settings: Check the column settings in the SharePoint list where you are storing the email content. Ensure that the column type is appropriate for storing the content. If you are using a rich text or HTML column, make sure it allows the necessary formatting.

    4. Test with Different Emails: Try creating SharePoint items using different email messages to see if the issue persists across all emails or if it is specific to certain emails. This will help identify if the problem is related to the content of the email or if it occurs consistently regardless of the email.

    5. Examine SharePoint List Settings: Review the list settings in SharePoint to see if there have been any recent changes that could affect the visibility of the email content. Pay attention to column settings, views, and any customizations that might impact the display of the content.

    6. Investigate SharePoint Updates: Check if any recent updates or changes have been made to SharePoint that could potentially affect the behavior of Power Automate flows. Consult the SharePoint documentation or reach out to your IT department to gather information about any updates or changes that could be relevant.

    Thanks,

    Sandeep Mishra

    Thanks for the response.

I tried all these settings and nothing seems to suggest the cause. I did some troubleshooting and what seems strange to me is that sometimes the email content shows up. And no changes have been made to this flow for the past few months.

I will still continue researching this issue. Thanks in advance for any updates you may have.

I tried the same flow on another account and it works fine. So am assuming that the flow is working fine. It may be something related to this account. Let me check. If there is an update, I will post. If someone has some troubleshooting steps, please let me know.

    Thank you in advance.

    Update:

I made some changes to the flow. Earlier I was using html to text (preview) and was putting this information on the Sharepoint. I removed it and used the email body to take email information and now am able to see the text on Sharepoint. I find it weird - it was working all these months and suddenly stopped working.

Not sure what others opine, but I have seen many unexpected errors that people could not explain on Power Automate. Probably because it works with so many apps in the background. It works though now.
