Is there a function to get the Azure AD Object ID of the currently logged in User in a Canvas App?
Thanks
Hi @CNT
Unfortunately, not OOB. On the following URL you can check which properties you can get for the current user: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/show-current-user
For the Azure AD Object ID you will have to have it store in another location.
Best Regards,
@chsanche Any plans to add more features to this?
At this time we don't have any information on this being on the roadmap. I recommend you to go ahead and submit this as an improvement Idea on the User Voice forums: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Apps-Ideas/idb-p/PowerAppsIdeas
The Product group reviews the ideas with the most votes and they might implement for a future release.
Best regards,
HI @chsanche
Found that GUID(Office365Users.MyProfileV2().id) returns the AAD GUID for the currently logged in user.
This is great news. I was not able to found that information, did you find it in the documentation? If not, you can let me know where you find it and I will try for the product group to include it in the official documentation.
@chsanche u can find it at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/office365users/#get-my-profile-(v2)
