Download attachments and create file in SharePoint working intermittently

Hello All

I am facing a bit of a trouble with downloading attachments and creating files in SharePoint. The flow shows that it ran successfully. However, the create file option remains dim and the file is not downloaded. This happens intermittently though. For example, today I received 91 emails and the flow downloaded attachments from 70 emails. The flow history shows that it didn't fail at all but the files are not created from the rest of the 21 emails. Please help.Flow attachment.JPG

    Can you post screen shots of your Flow in design view please with as much detail as possible?

    Thank you Scott... basically I am making Flow to read my emails and extract some data and populate an Excel sheet kept in a Teams channel. Each email comes with a specific subject line and attachment. Flow is supposed to download the attachments and keep them in a folder in the same Teams channel. The flow run history never shows any failure but sometimes it misses downloading the files. As I said above today it populated the Excel sheet correctly but failed to download 21 attachments from the same number of emails out of 91 emails.

    @AhsanulAzad

    I don't see anything obviously wrong with your Flow.

    My suggestion is to open a run that did not save the attachments.  Look at the outputs of each of the actions.  Are they are you expected that they would be?

    If you rerun the Flow, do you see different results?

    All the outputs are fine. Only the Create File action works intermittently... Specially when I receive too many emails at the same time. I tried limiting the trigger to run one at a time (concurrent option). When I resubmit the one that didn't create the file, it still gives the same result. I then have to move the email to a different folder and run a rule in Outlook to trigger the flow that failed. This works... But lot of manual work.

    Hi @AhsanulAzad ,

    Here's what I would investigate:  the file name is the output from one of the compose or variable actions.  It is possible that the output from one of those 21 runs are empty, so you are trying to create a file name (nothing).pdf and I don't think that will fail just nothing will happen.  Please check the output and look at the file name you are trying to save as.

    Thanks... Actually that's not the case. The same output is captured in the Excel sheet. I identified the specific run where the file was not created. However, the file name was captured in the Excel database.

    Hi @AhsanulAzad ,

    Can you share one of the outputs please?  Please confirm the output (file name) doesn't contain any special characters.

    Thanks for trying to help me. I even tried with a 'trim' function just to make sure that there are no invisible spaces in the file name... even after that it didn't work. Just to confirm that there are no special characters in the file name. 1.JPG2.JPG
