Hey guys,
I am creating a flow that deletes emails based off of Message IDs that were pulled into a onedrive excel document from a previous flow. I have a column that marks rows for deletion and this section works properly, but I'm hitting a wall when I try to connect Message IDs to emails.
I tried using the Email ID/Name excel column as the input (Message ID from previous flow) for Get Email V2 and using the Message ID from it to find the email in the inbox to delete it with the Delete Email portion.
This is planned to be a recurring flow that happens at night to clean up an inbox over night.
Any thoughts on what I'm missing here? Please see the attached image of the portion of the flow I am referring to.
It seems that one of my dynamic content selections got messed up at some point. The Email ID column was not being pulled properly. In the original message you can see both "Email ID~1Name" and "Email ID/Name" and they were both supposed to be "Email ID/Name." Not sure what caused the / to change to a ~1, but that was the root cause of the problem. Also, thanks @v-liwei-msft for the tip on skipping the get email step.
You can skip the get email step and directly refer to the dynamic content returned by Excel in the delete email.
Best Regards,
Levi
Although I pulled an email's Message ID into an excel table, my flow breaks down when I try to reference the Message ID in my Get Emails V2 portion of the flow. I have not moved the emails from the main inbox so the Message ID should still be the same.
