Using Hosted BOT RPA Machines - How do you disable Edge Pop up blocker for the sessions

Hi we are looking to utilise Hosted BOT Machines to run some RPA scripts and have built the scripts using a local desktop machine and all works OK. However, we now want to move these across to utilise Hosted BOT Machines using the standard Default VM Image BUT when these execute we are running into issues with the Edge Pop Up blocker.

 

We have tried disabling these for the account profile that we connect to the Hosted Machines BUT we still get the same issue and we do NOT want to create a Custom VM Image as we are simply using a browser session to connect to our back end Cloud hosted application.

 

Any suggestions on how you can achieve this as this appears to be a basic scenario.

    Hi, I’m not familiar with hosted machines, but  usually Edge should be configured by default to disable pop-ups. 
    As there is no start-up parameter for Edge to configure this manually, I assume a registry setting could help in some cases (changed e.g. by a power shell script). 

    E.g.

    Set-ItemProperty -Path "HKCU:\Software\Microsoft\Edge\Main" -Name "DisableScriptDebugger" -Value 1

     

    It’s only a guess or idea.
