how do I send a link through an email with options to a sharepoint document in a library? I want an option to take them to the document then update a row in a table, can I do this with the one button in the email?

I am confused by your query.  The file in the SharePoint Library seems to be the issue.  Is this file new or existing?

    Regards,

I know it very easy to put some works down in a forum like this; but what I think you want to do is.

You have an existing SharePoint Library with losts of files in, you want to go through the Libraries files and email someone a link to a file at a time with a set of options. What you want to do with those options is not clear currently.

But you seem to also mention using a SharePoint List to record data in.  I am not understating this part.

Perhaps you could clarifiy what you want by adding a lot more clear detail.  Then we can look at possibly helping you further.

    Regards,

I would like to use the email with options action. I want them to click the option button and when they do it hyperlinks them to the SharePoint document and simultaneously updates a row in a separate Dataverse table so others know the recipient viewed the document. Does that better explain what I'm wanting to do?

That is a lot better, but if you had put something in the title or body of the first question about Dataverse I would have not taken this on as this not my bag.  But as I have started I will try and assist, however you might need to repost on the Dataverse issue.  The below should help with the link for the files and email:

    https://www.matthewdevaney.com/how-to-create-a-sharing-link-for-files-in-power-automate/

But how we get from opening the link to that above, to give you the information you require in Dataverse is now beyond me.  Try posting it the following:

Have  you not looked at the link I sent you above.  You need to read items I send you.  It explains it in there quite well and at your post patron level I would hope you would understand that type of thing.

I will look again, but no need to be rude.
