I am using an email trigger to add a row to a google sheet.

The first column in the google sheet is date field.

At the moment the flow picks up the received date and time using the "Received time" dynamic content.

I wanto only add the date coming from the received time but i cant get the syntax to work. Screen Shot 2020-10-04 at 8.22.31 am.png

You could Create the flow as below:

formatDateTime(triggerOutputs()?['body/receivedDateTime'],'yyyy-MM-dd')

I get this error:

"One or more fields provided is of type 'Null', a different type is expected."
