Power Automate Desktop Flow Management

Hi all.

I was hoping someone could help me out here.

We have recently started to use Automation, both Power Automate and Desktop, and we currently have 2 Servers and 2 bots.

At the moment, I am the only one at the company with a Premium License, so I am basically creating, managing and maintaining our 2 Servers, 2 Bots and around 20 different Desktop Flows and many more Cloud Flows as well as several Power Apps.

Our setup consists of 2 Microsoft Environments, a DEV Environment where I can toy around and create flows and test them, and a PROD Environment where I use Solutions to deploy Flows and Apps directly into the PROD Environment.

This is all fine to do, however when I am going on vacation or similar, no one else is able to really follow up on our Power Platform environment, specifically check up on our Desktop and Cloud Flows to see if anything has gone wrong and needs to be looked at.

My Direct Manager cannot see the Desktop Flows I initiate, cant Cancel them (if needed) or in any other way keep an eye on things while I'm away. I have shared the Desktop Flows, given him Co Owner access to everything in the PROD Environment. He is able to see the running flows, but in the Run Queue for our Machine group he cannot see the name of the flows, durations, cant cancel or change priority or anything in between.

He does not have a Premium License like me (However, we did try with the Trial License, and it still did not work), and we are not sure what to do next to give him access to actually manage the running flows in the Environment, and if it is even possible?

One solution we had in mind was to use a Non-User/Service account to basically have the Premium License and then deploy our Solutions to that User instead, then we could both login to this User and be able to manage the Run Queues and our Flows.

Is there anything we are missing here so that he is able to manage the running Flows on the same level as me? Or is the solution to have a Service Account set up?

Hope someone is able to help here 🙂
