Hi Team,

How to write formula of Index match or VLOOKUP using two excel files as im getting error in below flow

Can you share the error that you are getting? Also which type of flow you are using? Regular or Power Fx enabled?
If its Power Fx it says it in the top left corner of the editor.

With Power Fx when you are writing Excel funtion you need to wrap the text around Text() -expression. Like so:
=Text("=INDEX([Book1.xlsx]Sheet1!$B:$B,MATCH(A2,[Book2.xlsx]Sheet1!$A:$A,0))")

Otherwise the power fx enabled PAD thinks you are passing an Power FX expression or Power Automate Desktop variable since you refer to them with the equal sign.

If its regular flow then I need to see the error message since I don't get an error when I write that function to my PAD flow. Maybe also explain what the excel function does.

Hi,, I am using the normal Regular one not the Power Fx enabled one... below is the error

Is that Vlookup for two different excel file or its a within one single excel file,, Im looking to use with two excel file and apply if you see my flow.. please help

Does the formula work if you put it manually in the Excel? Could you show how your two excels look and explain what you are trying to do?

I am not an expert in excel functions but something that came to mind: Maybe try changing the "newone.xlsx" to "Look.xlsx"
Or if I have misunderstood how the Match function should work and it should be using newone.xlsx then should the Sheet1 be Data worksheet since you have activated that? Or does the newone.xlsx also have Sheet1 worksheet that you are trying to look into?

I tried this dummy flow and didn't get an error:

If theres still dificulty then show the full error:

Then it opens Error details window. Open the Error details and paste the text here
