Power Automate: Send reminder with options to update status and change item in SharePoint

Hi Everyone,

I have a question regarding Power Automate. At this moment I have a SharePoint list with different tasks for different owners.

They have all one task each month that has a status 'Pending' or 'Completed'

I would like to send out a monthly email to everyone with their own task if it is still 'Pending'. I would like to send an option within this email, to make sure they can easily press the 'completed' button. After they press this button, I would like to have SharePoint update their task to completed.

I was able to set up the monthly mail with their personalized task. So, everyone receives an email with details about their tasks and the options 'Pending' and 'Completed'. But if one person presses 'completed' all tasks that were still pending and were send to all people are changed to completed. But I would like to only have their specific item completed then. I think it might be because of the option update item in SharePoint, but not sure what I should enter in this.

    Hi @Louise3 ,

Do you want to send email to everyone hasn't complete task and update Status of matched item to 'Completed'?

In your flow, you put 'Update item' in another 'Apply to each' without condition to check if each item should be updated, this will result in the inside 'Apply to each' update all items in each loop of outside 'Apply to each'.

I think you should put 'Send email' and 'Update Item' in same 'Apply to each', you can put condition at first to check if current item's status is 'Pending', If yes, then send email. This will decrease loop in your flow.

    Best regards,

    Rimmon
