Approval Flow - Can you have two Assigned to Email approvers??

Hi,

I have a flow with a Switch Action.  Depending on the outcome of the switch will determine where the approval goes to.

Can I have two approval emails in the 'Assigned to' field or do I need to create separate Approval actions for the Switch outcomes

also do I then need to do separate Condition outcomes for the approvals if separate Approval actions are required

You can add emails as a semicolon delimited string to the Assigned to field of the Approval.  Doing that will act slightly differently depending on whether you select All must Approve or First to Respond as the Approval type. If you set it to First to Respond then the approval will be completed when any one of the approvers respond to their email. Other responses will be ignored.

    Hi,

I do have the semicolon in the Assigned to field, separating the two Dynamics Content options

The Approval is dependant on which of the below 'Switch' root is requested

If one of the fields is empty for the two Assigned to options as again depending on the selection in the App one of the fields in the SharePoint site is a null

If one of the assigned to fields is null then it will just be ignored. The field should ignore the extra semicolons.  Otherwise you can use a Compose statement for each field to make sure that the semicolon is only added if the field has a value.

    Hi,

I looked at some of the community issues and it maybe that it's the Requestor was the issue not the Assigned to??

I did have Nomination Name and not Nomination Name Email Dynamics content.  Could this be the issue??

I've doubled checked and the dynamics content in the Assigned to Does relate to the Email Column for the respective content

Nomination name is an object and it needs to be an email string. So yes it should be Nomination Name Email. But if that is keeping it from running there should be an error message telling you that is the problem. Are you seeing an error on one of the actions?

    H,

I've changed it in my Dev Flow and it's seems to be awaiting approval and not failing where it has been??

Check the email of one of the approvers in the Dev environment and approve or reject the flow to get it to move further.
