PAD - CSV to XLSX Date format and conversion question

Hi all,

I have a PAD flow that was running perfectly for the past 2 weeks until today. Part of this flow convert a CSV to Excel. I was doing it just with "Open Excel" and "Save as". Today I faced an issue because the date that is "DD/MM/YYYY" in the csv was converted to MM/DD/YYYY in XLXS.

One of the reasons that I might have that issue now and not before it that we are beginning of August and 02/08 can be interpreted also 08/02 , however I am not convinced that this is the reason that explained why the behavior is different since yesterday.

What surprised me the most is that all my settings regional/date etc. are DD/MM/YYYY and when I do the same process manually I am not facing this issue. I am running the flow in attended mode, so I am expecting Excel to use the same configuration as my logged profile. At the end what PAD is doing is just opening excel and saving the file so why the behavior is different?

I have installed the new version of PAD 2 days ago, I was also wondering if this was to the issue.

For the time being I am using a simple powershell to do the same and the script is not having any issue.

So does anyone know where Excel is getting the date/regional setting when launched from PAD if this are not the same as the logged in users?

Thank you

What if you don't open it?

Thank yu but renaming a csv to xlsx in not a solution that works.

As I mentioned I have found a solution with the power shell, but I want to understand why regional/date settings are not taken from the user profile. This is not an expected behavior and I want to know how what should be done for excel to open with the setting of the users with PAD.

    Thank you
