Fin & Ops List Items present in table Odata query

Hello,

I'm having an issue with the filter query on the Fin & Ops List items in table action.  It's a very large data set so I'd like to only pull the data required.  I would like to pull everything starting with 'D' so I used startswith('batchnumber','D') in the filter query section.  It returned empty.  If I remove the D it returns the full data set.  Any ideas?

Thank you!

I think the format of your filter query is incorrect.

    Try this:

    startswith(batchnumber, 'D')

    Hope this helps!

Thanks for the prompt response!  This causes an error.  It no longer recognizes the field.

That error indicates you aren't using the correct column name. I don't use Dynamics but in SharePoint the column name may not always match the internal column name.

Your column name must match whatever is stored in Dynamics.

You can also take a look at the successful flow run, you should be able to find the column name. It would appear as an array key

I got that column name from my first iteration using the filter array operation.  This works but it appears to hit a limit as the most recent items are not retrieved.

I read somewhere that the syntax is funny with odata and fin and ops.  This is how I got it to work.   The asterisk is a catchall and the name must be capitalized correctly.

You are correct.  The capitalization must match exactly.  This led me down the proper path.  Thanks!

You can try to define a sort order by adding an ODATA orderBy query.

Either the Created or Modified column should give you what you need (again, the column name must match).

Depending on how many items there are in your table you may have to turn on Pagination in the action settings. Set the threshold to something high...
