Making a flow between Planner and Sharepoint

Hey

I'm currently trying to make a flow between Planner and Sharepoint. So, my issue is this. I want a item in my sharepoint list to change status from Open to Closed when it is checked off as completed in Planner. Can anyone help me with this or send me a potential flow of this?

Thanks in advance.

I have the same question (0)

    Hey @Anonymous

You can follow the flow below:

Here, I am checking the filter query to get items that match the title in the SP list with the Title of the task. Assuming that each task will have unique title, it will return only one item and then update it. Similarly, if you have any other unique column that has same values in both planner and SP, you can use that.

    Hope this Helps!

Hey, and thanks for the reply, @yashag2255!

I tried to follow your flow, but it didn't run properly over here, so I made some adjustments to it which looks like this.FLOW.PNGIt did work the first few times, but when I try to run it it doesn't automatically run it unless I use the "Test" option. Any ideas?

    Hey @Anonymous

Can you check if the flow is "On"? Also save the flow and then log out of the current session. Close browser windows and start a fresh session. Now try marking a planner task as completed and come back to check if the flow is running in the flow run history.

    Hope this Helps!

    Hey @yashag2255

A new session and all that did unfortunately not help at all. Maybe it just takes some time to process the action/trigger?

    @yashag2255

I found the "problem". It only takes a few minutes to actually register the trigger

    Hey @Anonymous

At some times yes it does. And most often it just triggers as the action is marked as completed and saved in planner for flow to recognise it.

Hope the query is resolved. If this issue is resolved, please mark this question as answered. Answered questions helps users in the future who may have the same issue or question quickly find a resolution via search. If you liked my response, please consider giving it a thumbs up. THANKS!

    Hi @Anonymous ,

There will be some delay in the Flow trigger, but basically it will automatically trigger Flow according to your configuration.

Under the premise that Flow has been configured as expected, if Flow is still not automatically triggered, then we need to check the Flow run history to see if there will be any error message for us to check again if there is any unexpected setting in the trigger.

In addition, different Flow plans will also affect the triggering of Flow.

    Best Regards,
