I wish to run a power automate desktop flow from a button/shortcut on a sharepoint page.

Does anyone know how to handle this ?

Thanks in advance

Thanks a lot Wearsky, but in fact it's a power automate desktop program I need to call. I get an URL with that structure "ms-powerautomate:/console/flow/run?environmentid=64..." and I need an https URL.

Sorry not to be accurate in my description.

Thanks in advance and best regards

    Hi @olivierverbe ,

In my example, I used cloud flow to call the desktop flow.

So, if the user clicks the button in sharepoint page, it will trigger the cloud flow and the cloud flow will run the desktop flow.

If you use flow Run URL "ms-powerautomate:/console/flow/run?environmentid=64...", it will run the desktop flow on the user's own PC environment rather than the PC environment which created the desktop flow.

    Hi Wearsky,

calling destop flow from cloud flow works but it's much longer (more than 10 seconde to start the power autom desktop sequence. Additionally, when a colleague click on the button it starts on my PC , not on his. If I try to use the link URL "ms-powerautomate:/console/flow/run?environmentid=64..." it is not accepted as it doesn't start with HTTPS.

    Thanks again

    Best regards

    Hi @olivierverbe ,

You are right.  Sharepoint page button doesn't accept desktop flow run URL.

As a workaround, we can create a canvas app and embed it into sharepoint page.
