Paginated report using PowerBI report but date needs formatting

Hi,

  I have a PowerAutomate flow that uses a Paginated Report and exports the results, however i am getting the following in the output file:

"Sunday~ June 30~ 2024"

 

What I want is: 6/30/2024 for this specific column in the report.

 

I tried in the PowerBI report itself to format it, but that did not work, so wasn't sure if PowerAutomate can format it correctly for me ?

    Here is how I got it to work. Hope this helps:

    I used Regular expression to remove the week day from the begining:

    Text to find: ^([^~]+)~ 
    (remember to have empty space in the end)

    Then just replace the other '~ ' with / 
    and replace empty space with /
    Then use Convert text to date time:

    You can also do this in Power BI if you just remove the weekday from the begining:
    In Query editor:
    Change type to text

    Then with Replace Values
    Value to find empty space (' ')
    Replace with /

    Then replace the ~ with nothing

    Then just change the type to Date

    hi,

     

      I will try it from PowerAutomate, as I tried originally in PowerBI using a similar approach, but it did not work.
