powerautomate usage with powerapps per app plan

Hi

I have per app plan and power automate states that:

Power automate use rights (including premium connectors)7

7=Trigger flows within the context of the app.

For me it says that if i have per app license(which I have) i can run flows using premium connectors if flows are running with the app components.

So i am creating a new flow with a dataverse triger when a record is added, deleted, modified

then i wan to perform action get row ID and i get a message start your free trial or buy powerautomate per user

So how it is with this state Trigger flows within the context of the app or i do not understand something?

@Pstork1 @ScottShearer maybe you guys know this answer to my dilema? I don't get to use my dataverse actions thow i want to perform dataverse actions within my app

    Two points I would make.

    1) The Dataverse trigger you are using means that technically the flow is not running within the context of the Power App.  That shouldn't be a problem because its an automated trigger so the flow will run in the context of the maker and they would be the only one who needs a license.

    2) Although MS says you don't need a premium license to make an app/flow, but you do need one to run it. Taht means the per app license IS sufficient to run an app with an associated premium flow.  But in my experience the software often prompts the user who doesn't have a license to get one while they are making the app.  The issue is that per app licenses aren't assigned until the app is shared.  By then you've already created it.  So in practice its common to need either a premium per user license or a trial per user license in order to create an app.

The best workaround if you don't have a per user license would be to start a trial, build the app, then share it and run it using per app licenses.  That approach will work and is very common.

The best workaround if you don't have a per user license would be to start a trial, build the app - by this you mean i get power automate trial and build this flow?

I have already a model driven app that is shared with users who use it

No, a Power Apps trial would be sufficient.  As I said, you are supposed to be able to build it without a license.  But it doesn't always work, especially when you are crossing platforms.  Unless you have a per user license to build the model drive app it doesn't really matter.  The users using the model driven app with per app licenses won't have any effect on the app/flow you are trying to build.
