Is it possible to freeze just some items in SharePoint List in order not let anyone change the items

Hello,

I have a SharePoint list, one new created item is approved, it shouldn't be modified anymore. For the other items, they can be modified. Is it possible to do such setting?

Hi @YanLiang,

You have a couple of options.

A. You could set unique permissions after the approval and make the item read-only

B. You could also declare it as a record and lock the file (that should prevent people from being able to edit it as well). Have a look at the In Place RM section of Joanne Klein her blog: https://joannecklein.com/2019/01/06/modern-vs-classic-in-place-records-management-in-sharepoint/

Hello,
Many thanks for the explanation. I tried below setting, once item is approved, user can't be viewed the time anymore. I don't know how to make it just read only and user can still view the items.
