I have a task list - will be using 365 List - with various generic tasks.

I will like the users to open the tasks in PowerApps and 'assign' themselves these tasks.

So I will open the task in Powerapps - and change the Owner Column to "CanadianSal" - and save it. They will also edit additional columns.

At the same time, I also want other users to open the Same Task - and assign it to themselves as well. So someone named CanadianSal2 will edit the task and make themselves the owner.

After it has been saved, I will like that when the users Open Powerapps - they can only see the Tasks that they are assigned to.

Is this possible?

    Thanks - the videos were useful, but I could not find a solution for the last requirement: When the user opens the App, they should only see tasks that are assigned to them. The field that stores the email address is a DropDown.

    The items in the gallery are currently:

    SortByColumns(Filter([@'MyDateSource], StartsWith(Title, TextSearchBox1.Text)||StartsWith('Week Number',TextSearchBox1.Text)), "Title", If(SortDescending1, Descending, Ascending))

     

    What changes do I need to make so that only my tasks are visible in the App?
