Winautomation Professional to Compile robots

I have WA7 but went back to WA6 years ago when WA went to tokens. I received a perpetual license and tried to install for safety messures on an older laptop.

Message is wrong machine and install fails

I have tried to contact MS numerous times and had one call. To get unattended on a machine to run a robots is $150 per month per machine. I have numerpus customers and none pay near $150 per month.

I'm OK with no support but is there anyone here or MS that has a soluton for me if my current computer fails? I'm even oK with lowest support if they honor perpetual license, like WA allowed to dactivate a machine and install on another.

My perpetual license is sort of useless and I will be out of business in an instant if I ever needed to modfiy a robot and recompile without V6 up and running.

I just can't be only person with V6 as it were many peole that seemed to do what I was doing to avoid token fees.

I have the same question (0)

Not sure why noone has replied, maybe very few people compile WA robots.

I have a great solution for whatever MS is causing harm to WA perpectual customers. Why not just open up website WA had and allow us to deactivate and activate anouter computer. This way our license we bought stays in place and no way anyone can "cheat" MS and install on multiple PC's.

Seem so logical and no expense, unless MS acutally does not care about WA, now their customers, and do not care if we go out of business, due to their actions.

They bough the company, changed product, they want you to migrate your bots to Power Automate Desktop...

Sad thing they do not offer some discount if not some free unattended bot licenses to old perpetual license owner/

    That sucks

Thanks, it is apparent what they want. My concern is they did give me a perpual license but that is useless if it needs to be on same computer (machine ID). Like I said or asked, why not open back up portal to deacitvate old computer and be able to install on a new computer I buy. Not sure for their greed they have no problems putting me out of business. I OWN a valid perpetual copy with a lifetime install. If MS monitors this please come up with a solution on how WA customers get to use what they bought.

    Dear Theplaman,

I have the same issue, did you manage to figure out a solution?
