Camera control won't show camera feed using PowerApps windows app (installed from store)

Hi all,

Ran into this issue: the Power Apps Desktop app (installed from the Store) won't show the camera feed to take pictures, it is using the camera because when clicked I get the image and can encode to base64, add to a list, etc. The most interesting result of my testing is that I tried the same test on my iPhone IOS App and works just fine, I can see the camera feed, take photos, etc.

I also checked and the app has all the correct permissions to use the camera, (I'm sure it does since it can take pics, just won't show the camera feed).

Any idea of what am I doing wrong here? Seems odd to me that works on the IOS App and won't in the Windows App.

Windows 10 is the OS.

I’m facing the same issue in my desktop. The camera stream doesn’t show when running in PowerApps studio.

I am having the same issue. the desktop client does not seem to recognize the cameras on the device. I am using it on a Surface Pro 7+ and it has no stream but can capture and save images. I have a dropdown box that is set to Camera1.Availabledevices and it shows nothing there but when run on the same device in edge it shows both cameras that can be selected.

Was there a resolution to this?

I'm having the same issue. One of our customers tested Power App couldn't call surface camera. Our tech also tested the problem. Need an answer on that and when to expect for a solution. Thanks.
