Is it possible to format a date input field to display today, like: dd/mm/yyyy?

Is it possible to format a date input field to display today, like: dd/mm/yyyy?

 

My field has the following properties:

 

* Default = Today()

* Format = DateValue(ShortDate,"dd/mm/yy")

 

But it doesn't matter because I always get the American format date:

    In the Format property of the DatePicker put:

    "dd/mm/yyyy"

    Or

    "dd/mmm/yyyy"
