SharePoint path not accepted

Dear community members,

In trying to make a simple flow to rename a SharePoint file and it looks like I am hitting a wall.

The intend is to use the steps "Get file Metadata" and next "Update file properties". The site selection in the first step is no problem.

Entering the File Path (using the drop-down menu)  "/Gedeelde documenten/PowerBI Data en revisies/Input Data/Overzicht.xls" results in the word "PowerBI" being red-underlined. The directories have the correct names and access rights are OK.

Adding the second step "Update file properties" makes the red-underlining as mentioned above disappear.

Test execution of the flow results in error 404 and in Outputs body of the step the message "List not found\r\nclientRequestId: xxxxxxxxxxxxx\r\nserviceRequestId: xxxxxxxxxx"

Any ideas?

Thanks much for your suggestions

    Hi @PaulMS ,

    Here are the steps to rename a file.

    Thanks for your recommendation.

    Unfortunately this results in an error message upon execution of the HTTPS request:

    "status": 404,
    "message": ""De lijst Gedeelde documenten bestaat niet op de site met de URL https://curfscom.sharepoint.com/sites/PowerBI-Bestanden.\r\nclientRequestId: xxxx\r\nserviceRequestId: xxxx",",

    Translation: "The list Gedeelde-documents does not exist on the URL https://..... etc"

    Note: Gedeelde documenten is the SharePoint folder which hold subfolders in one of which the file exists.

    Looking at the used uri "_api/web/lists/GetByTitle('Gedeelde documenten')/items(@{outputs('Get_file_metadata')?['body/ItemId']})/validateUpdateListItem" in the last part it refers to validateUpdateListitem. Is the error maybe due to the bold List reference?

    Hi @PaulMS ,

    I took a quick break and keyed this in and works in testing.  The issue you may have is the formatting, please revisit.

    Here I just changed the file name to "newname.xlsx".

     "formValues":[
     {
     "FieldName": "FileLeafRef",
     "FieldValue": "newname.xlsx"
     }
     ]
    }

    Hello,

    Thanks for your (very) quick feedback!

    The 2 attached files shows the flow and the output error.

    The error message

    "De lijst Gedeelde documenten bestaat niet op de site met de URL https://curfscom.sharepoint.com/sites/PowerBI-Bestanden.\r\nclientRequestId: xxxxx\r\nserviceRequestId: yyyyyyy"
    translates as: "The list Gedeelde documenten does not exist on the site with url....."

    This leads to believe that the file Overzicht.xls which is to be renamed, is not found. Yet this file is selected via the drop-down menu in the step get file Metadata..

    I am puzzled.
    Thanks much for you support so far!

    Hi @PaulMS ,

    Please try changing your http to 'Documents'.  In my example, I don't reference the actual folder name, I reference Documents, shown below.

    In my example, I renamed this file to "newname.xlsx".

    Hi @PaulMS ,

    So please try changing this to 'Documents' - just this part in the api path.

    Thanks for the hint..... I tried but the result is the same error message.

    I took another route, Get file content, create a new file and delete the original file. Not elegant, property life chain is lost but in this case it is no problem.

    Thanks anyhow
