One single notification for multiple files added in SharePoint

Good morning all,

I hope you are well

I would like to create a flow that sends a notification to users (I would use the access column of my SP as there are emails there) when a file or more is added.
However, usually, I receive the files in batches and users may have access to more than one and I don't really want them to receive multiple emails.
So in the event that john smith has access to 2 or more files and is notified, ideally I would like to have only one email sent out.
I am not sure how to get that set up.
Is there any more information you need from me in order to help me?
Thank you

Vincent

    Hi,

I describe the concept here, in my latest user group presentation located here: Post | Feed | LinkedIn

While my example is using an Excel file, this also works will from a List too.  Essentially the key here is the compose action.  After getting all the emails from your column you want to use a compose and union() to get your distinct list of emails.  This way you are only sending on email.

Then without describing the entire process here, in the apply to each you are going to use a filter array and get the items that match the current item (the current email address) and then send the email.

This works really well and I use it often.

And thank you for the explanation and the link. I will look into it further and try to replicate the logic.
