Patch Sharepoint list as an other (or anonymous) user

Hi Everyone,

I'd need help with the followings: I have a powerapp, patching data into a sharepoint list. The data is quite sensitive, and in the Sharepoint list, the "Created by" columns shows the name of the user who submitted the data through Powerapps.

Is it possible somehow to anonymize the Patch? Or patch as a fixed user?

Or can I somehow change the value in the "Created by" field? Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi @Asbot ,

If you do anything in Power Apps, the user needs authentication with the data source to be able to write the data, so any action directly will reflect who did it, so for your first question, anonymous use is not possible.

There is a possible workaround using Power Automate by writing to a "dummy" list than using the Flow trigger "When an item is created or modified" and write the data to the "real" list. The user would then be the owner of the Flow.

    Hi @WarrenBelz ,

Thanks, the workaround would work for me.
