Apply to each action

Hello,

I want to get a item from S.Point List.

The objective is to send a customized email to the Person/Group -2 Columns (Issued By & Issued To).

1.PNG

Tried many ways re-edit, following are the error details:

1. The execution of template action 'Apply_to_each' failed: the result of the evaluation of 'foreach' expression '@{triggerBody()?['ISSUEDTO']}@{items('Apply_to_each_2')?['Email']}' is of type 'String'. The result must be a valid array.

2. An action failed. No dependent actions succeeded.

Many thanks for your help!

    Hi,

The column is designated for single person/group within 365 user in my organization - not a drop-down choice.

Looks like these are not in fact multi-selectable person columns, they are just single person?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

But it doesnt seems to be working neither, or perhaps, my input somewhere is missing. 111.PNG1111.PNG

The workaround for this is to use two Select and Join actions.

    1. Add a Select action. In the "From" input, select ISSUED TO. Below, click the little icon to the right to change it from key-value pair mode to JSON input and place this expression in: item()?['Email']

    2. Add a Join action. The From input is the output of the select and the character to join on is semicolon (;)

    3. Now put the output of that join as the input of the To field in the email action. Do the same with the ISSUED BY. You can put them all in the same email.

There are no Apply to Each loops doing this.

Assume these are multi-selectable people columns: You can remove "ISSUED BY Email" from the input of the inner Apply to Each and put it in the To field of the email action, after the semicolon, but that person will get a separate email for each ISSUED TO person.
