Leave Request Approval Flow - Not Approving directly from outlook

Hi folks,

 

I have a leave request with 2-3 mangers approving leave of the employees.

 

When a leave request comes in outlook one of the user is not able to approve directly from outlook. Instead of an Approval Button he is getting a button with the automate URL which takes him to power automate approvals and then he is able to approve. Earlier he was able to approve directly from outlook itself but now he is not able to do so. Though, other mangers are able to approve directly from outlook.

 

I though his outlook is outdated so got it updated to the latest version still not able to achieve the results. 

 

Can anyone please share some lights why is ut behaving like this and could be the possible solution for the same.

 

Need this on an urgent basis. Thank you !

    You need to update the client Outlook to their latest version. I did that it's working fine for me

    Is the user using a Mac OS laptop? Is the user's mailbox stored in an On-Prem infrastucture?

    The user is not able to approve from Outlook Web also after clicking on Approve a new tab opens up which is basically Power Automate Approval section.

     

    Any idea how it can be sorted?

    Hi @sharjeel_123 

    Have you tried to use Outlook on the web with that user? I guess it works, but just in case... If it works, then probably is something with the Outlook client version or even Windows OS and then would open a ticket to Microsoft.

    Hi @fchopo ,

    Thanks for the response but it is already set to "Download Full Items" I even uncheck the "On Slow Connections Download Only Headers".

     

    This particular user is facing issue for all the approvals

    Hi @sharjeel_123 

    According to this thread: Outlook actionable messages not working - Microsoft Community It could be related to download preferences in outlook.

    Could you try to set them to "Download full items" ?
