Why is power app dropdown adding retrieved value from datasource again to dropdown list when the value already exists in dropdown list (and therefore a duplicate in the list). I matched the retrieved strings with dropdown value and they match so no problem with spaces or string matching. This is random or atleast prevelant when particular screen loads for the first time. Once selecting another dropdown item and then going back to original selection the problem dissapears.
Yes, I have experienced this too with the modern Dropdown.
I'd suggest using a Classic Drop Down with the same Items property. Just remove the [] for the default property.
