Dynamic UI Selection

Hello Guys,

I am trying to download an online report. I am trying to select the dropdown and select a value so that the report will be generated and I will download the report.

But when I select the UI Element, I see the borders are greater than the UI Element. And it always throws an Element not found error.

How do I get the exact element? Buttons are found but Dropdown, Options, etc do not work as expected.

Not to speak of the UI Element will change. Like div 'Mike' will change into div 'Roger'.

Can anyone assist on how to select the exact element so that the change in div/id won't affect it?

Thanks

Try with click link on web page or press button on web page activities.

    Hope this helps

Are you working on a multi-monitor setup? Capturing UI elements works best when your browser is on your main screen. The cases with the borders of the element you're trying to capture not matching the actual element are usually related to doing it on a non-main monitor in a multi-monitor setup.

When it comes to creating dynamic selectors for values that may change, see this article for reference: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/desktop-flows/build-custom-selectors
