Hello community,

I created a flow to move a file from a sharepoint folder to another in the same site address, despite the flow is excuted successfully it shows me an error The destination path cannot be the same as the source object itself. clientRequestId: 3b08fd4a-68c7-49ef-9841-46edfaf9d897 serviceRequestId: 3b08fd4a-68c7-49ef-9841-46edfaf9d897.

I want to know if there is a solution for that ?

Thanks

    Hi @Anonymous

Looks like you are moving the file to same place as source hence you getting the error.  You can move the file to a different directory under the same library. Could you please post a screenshot of your flow?

    Thanks

    Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for your screenshot. What is the first step called? Get file (properties only)?

I think it is because the default is to include nested items, and your destination folder is a subfolder of the folder you are moving from. Set this to no:

    Hi @Anonymous

Ok I tested this. The reason for this is if you have only file and moving to old directory it works fine. In the second run if you have another file what happens is the Get File Properties will return all the files which includes your old directory files which you already moved. Hence the error says destination path cannot be the same as the source object itself. The fix you need to apply is add an IF conditon to check path is 'old' directory (In your case) then ignore those file move. Also I would say check IsFolder is true then ignore those as well.

If you have only one directory called 'Old'  and all the other new files are dropped into the root directory then @Paulie78  suggested fix should work.

    Thanks
